Welcome to ProTech Solutions. To ensure clarity and protection for both our customers and our business, the following policies apply to all services and plans provided by ProTech Solutions in Ontario, Canada.
1. Monitoring Service Policy
Services Provided

24/7 monitoring powered by Alarm.com

Smart home integration (where applicable)

Equipment (IQ4 panel, sensors, motion detectors, cameras, etc.) provided under selected plans
Equipment & Ownership

Equipment provided under “Free Kit” promotions remains ProTech Solutions property for the first 12 months.

After 12 months of active subscription, ownership transfers to the customer.

If canceled early, equipment must be returned or a buyout fee ($600 CAD) applies.
Installation
-
Standard installation is included in most residential plans.

Commercial installations may include additional setup charges depending on complexity.
Subscription & Payments

Monitoring plans are billed monthly in advance.

Non-payment may result in suspension of monitoring services.
No-Contract Policy

Plans are month-to-month with no long-term contracts.

30 days’ written notice required for cancellation.
Customer Responsibilities

Maintain working internet/cellular backup connection.

Keep equipment powered and unaltered.

Provide updated emergency contacts and property info.
Liability Disclaimer

ProTech Solutions is not an insurer.

We provide monitoring only and cannot guarantee prevention of burglary, fire, or emergencies.
Governing Law
-
Governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
2. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Monthly Subscriptions: Fees are non-refundable once the billing cycle has started.

New Customers: A 7-day satisfaction guarantee applies. If you cancel within 7 days of installation, you will receive a refund minus installation costs and must return equipment.

Equipment Buyout: If canceled before 12 months, a $600 buyout fee applies if equipment is not returned.

Service Issues: If service is unavailable due to technical faults directly caused by ProTech Solutions, a pro-rated credit may be applied.
3. Privacy Policy
ProTech Solutions is committed to protecting your privacy and complies with PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) and Ontario privacy laws.

4. Terms & Conditions of Use
Website Use

All content on protechsolution.ca is owned by ProTech Solutions.

You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute content without permission.
Service Limitations

Monitoring services are dependent on internet and cellular networks, which may be subject to outages.

ProTech Solutions is not responsible for damages caused by third-party outages.
Limitation of Liability

ProTech Solutions’ liability is limited to the value of the monitoring services paid by the customer in the last 12 months.
Dispute Resolution
-
Any disputes must first be submitted in writing to support@protechsolution.ca.

If unresolved, disputes will be handled under Ontario law.
